Lesley Ann Brandt was a South African model and actress born on 2 December 1981. Her most notable role is in TV and films. Brandt, who began her career as an actor in the new Zealand's Diplomatic Immunity sitcom she began her American debut with the role of Naevia as part of the historical series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress has appeared on several television shows during the last decade including Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies as well as The Librarians. In 2016 Brandt is playing the role of Mazikeen in the urban fantasy series Lucifer starring Tom Ellis Lauren German and Kevin Alejandro. Brandt was raised as a child in Cape Town South Africa. After her late teens, she emigrated together with family members to Auckland New Zealand. Brandt's profession began as a model when she appeared in magazine and television advertisements. Before her rise to fame as a model she was employed in sales at retail and also served as an expert in recruitment for information technology. In 2009 she was cast in an New Zealand television sitcom called Diplomatic Immunity as Leilani. In 2021, she starred in Spartacus Blood and Sand as the young slave girl named Naevia. As well, she has reprised the Naevia character in the prequel miniseries Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker starred alongside her in three TV shows: Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010), and Legend of the Seeker (2008). In the year 2016, Mazikeen started her new role as a bounty hunter in Netflix's hit show Lucifer. This is her biggest role so far. In the show, she stars together with Tom Ellis Lauren French Kevin Alejandro D. B. Woodside.

Broadcasting veteran with over twenty years of experience covering economics and business, she was instrumental in establishing the TV channel CNBC as one of the best on the market in the economy and business segment. Her exceptionally successful journalism career makes one believe that the lady was destined for this field. Maria was a young girl who, at the time wasn't sure about her career choice. She was then tempted to become an interior designer. When she realized the thrill journalism has to offer there was no looking at her. She is a great journalist, and she's an example for girls seeking to succeed into male-dominated professions. The award was given to her as one of "50 Faces of Decade" she was the first female journalist to be inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame. She's also a writer as well as a columnist.
