Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father was an elementary school teacher, and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and often performed puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. Her rise to fame as a fairytale began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was six, which prompted an inquiry from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964, where she was featured in a television commercial featuring Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. That same year, she starred in a second commercial on television for Chatty Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character Wind It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1200 kids to be the youngest of three twins on the TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick told of how in the fifth season of the television show, she was close to losing her their virginity to sister Barry Williams. She was just 16 when the incident occurred and he was just 19. It would have happened she stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
